Offering youth the opportunity to teach their peers about communication, decision making, healthy relationships, & community service

·  Ages 13-17 years
·  Offering 2, 10 week sessions:
    January 3rd-March 9th
    March 21st-May 25th
·  After school hours:
    Mondays & Wednesdays 3:30-5:30pm
·  Within walking distance from Brainerd High School
·  Youth receive incentives & a stipend for participation

Program activities include:
·         Interactive games
·         Documentary films
·         Role-playing
·         Lectures
·         Discussions
·         Service learning (4 hours outside of class time)
·         Peer education 



 Program curriculum includes:
·         Choices: Communication, Decision Making, Healthy Relationships, 
          Conflict Resolution
·         Media Influence: Social Networking, Advertising, etc.
·         Reproductive Health & Body Image
·         Sexuality: GLBTQ, Gender Roles, Diversity
·         Sexual/Relationship Violence Prevention
·         Sexually Transmitted Infections & HIV/AIDS
·         Abstinence & Contraception
·         Pregnancy & Parenting
·         Healthy Eating
·         Substance Abuse
·         Mental Health: Suicide & Depression
